On Thursday, February 13, 2014, at the Parham Health Care and Rehab Center in Richmond, VA. God called home another angel. This angel, Lucille Lester Williams Moody, the widow of James Mercer Moody was 93 wonderful years old.

She was born on April 22, 1920 to the late Charlie and Mary Ethel Williams in Buckner, VA. Baptized at the early age of nine years old at Mt. Garland Baptist Church, she had a very sweet spirit and loved the Lord and going to church to hear the word.

She was educated in the public schools of Louisa County. She was a homemaker and loved her hobby of working in her flower gardens.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, four infant brothers; a sister, Martha Coleman; two brothers, Bert Lewis Williams and Fred Mckinely Williams and a son, Carrington Morrell Williams.

She is survived by three sisters, Mary Perkins of New Jersey, Alice M. Johnson of Mineral, VA and Addie Medina of Philadelphia PA; one brother, Marvin W. Williams of Bumpass, VA; one goddaughter, Carol Marie Pringle of Philadelphia, PA; one devoted niece, Mary O. Jackson; two devoted nephews, Herman Coleman and Carroll Williams; one devoted caretaker, Grace Carter; three special friends, Eddie Hottinger, Charles Shifflet and Margaret Perry and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Mt. Garland Baptist Church, 4000 Buckner Road, Bumpass, VA with the Reverend Dwain Cosby officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
