Lucile White Carter entered into eternal rest at Dogwood Village- Orange County Nursing Home on October 12, 2022. She was born on August 21,1931, the oldest of 9 children born to the late Elizabeth White and Gilford White, Sr .

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Evelyn Carter, Warren Carter, Jr., Michael Carter, Sr. (Ann), Bruce Carter, Keith Carter; son-in-law, Carroll Lovelace; six grandchildren: Michael Carter, Jr. (Andrea), David Carter, Amanda Carter, Nicole Armstrong (Steven), Brandon Lovelace, Miles Carter; six great-grandchildren: Bakiem Smith, Mekhael, Yahir, Shmael, Carter; three sisters: Elizabeth Campbell, Bernice Byrd, Arlene Stanard (Vanwarden); two brothers: Buford White and Edward White (Diane); two sisters-in-law: Mamie Harper (Archie), Ruth Carter; a devoted friend and sister-in-law Annie Carter; two brothers-in-law: Kenny Pretty, Joseph Carter (Betty Ann); and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the Shady Grove Baptist Church family.
