L orenda Gayle Gaines Jones, departed this life Thursday July 01, 2021 at her home in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on October 21, 1981. The oldest daughter of Roger L. and Kimberly Walker Gaines of Louisa, VA. She was baptized May 17, 1992 at Mount Zion Baptist Church (First African American) Charlottesville, VA under Rev. Alvin E. Edwards. And later she joined by faith on December 3,1995, Galilee Baptist Church Louisa, VA under Rev. Otis R. Spellman.

She attended George Rogers Clark Elementary School, she also attended Walker Upper Elementary School and then she attended Buford Middle School all of Charlottesville, VA. Lorenda was a graduate of Louisa High School class of 2000 and then she completed her engineering degree at ITT Technical Institute in Richmond, VA March 07, 2003. She
received her associate degree in computer & electronic engineering technology.

She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Lorenzo Jones of Mineral, VA on August 28, 2004. To this union a loving daughter, Joss Kimberly Jones was born on December 12, 2005.

We thank God for her life and for what it has meant to us. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents James & Sarah Gaines of Charlotte Court House, VA.. Also maternal grandparents Frank L. and Jettie V. Walker of Madisonville, VA.. To cherish her memories there remain a devoted husband, Robert Lorenzo Jones of Mineral, VA and one loving daughter, Joss Kimberly Jones of Mineral, VA.. Parents, Roger L. and Kimberly Walker

Walker (Martha) of Madisonville, VA; Douglas Gaines (Vanessa) of Baltimore MD; Leroy Gaines (Carolyn) of Charlotte County, VA; James Gaines (Janice) of Woodbridge, VA.
