Loraine Esther Farrar , fondly known as "Saint Pooh", peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on January 28, 1943, in Fluvanna County to Earl and Gertrude Price. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Carlton Quarles Farrar.

Loraine attended Fluvanna County Public Schools and upon graduation worked as a health aide until she relocated with her husband to East Orange, New Jersey. Loraine worked at Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Union, New Jersey. Throughout her career, she earned numerous accolades for her exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and dedicated service.

At an early age, Loraine joined Byrd Grove Baptist Church in Kents Store, VA. After relocating to New Jersey, she became a member of Arlington Avenue Presbyterian Church under the leadership of Pastor David Erickson. There, she faithfully served in various capacities. After a successful career in East Orange, New Jersey, Loraine and her husband returned to Kent Stores, Virginia, in 2000, where she reinstated her membership with Byrd Grove Baptist Church. She remained a dedicated and active member, serving on the Missionary Committee, Kitchen Committee, and as a member of the Senior Choir.

Loraine was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She leaves to cherish her memories, two devoted sons: Roderick Farrar and Duwayne Farrar; one devoted brother, Leroy Price (Mattie) of Kents Store, VA; two special grandchildren, Tiffany Person ( Terrell ) of New Jersey and Timothy Farrar of Virginia Beach, VA; one beloved great grandchild, Tierre Person; two devoted sisters-in-law, Veronica Keys of Keswick, VA; and Dora Price of Goochland, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
