Lloyd Pendleton Smith, 63, departed this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1952 in Louisa, Virginia to the late Lewis and Louise Smith. He is predeceased by his brother Michael Smith and sister Gale Glascoe.

Lloyd accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Foster Creek Baptist Church.

Lloyd attended Louisa County School System. He served in the United States Army. He was very knowledgeable of many jobs such as automotive, plumbing and building of homes.
Lloyd was a person that always made everyone laugh whenever you talked to him. Whenever you asked him to do something for you he did it with no problem. He was a humble person that never had a bad thing to say about anyone.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Kristen Smith; his son Anthony Banks (Stacy); three brothers, his twin Floyd (Stacy), James Smith (Roberta), Carl Smith (Rhonda); stepsons James Cole and Christopher Cole (Thelaine); five sisters: Alberta Smith, Earline Lewis (Danny), Gealdine Jackson (Ronald), Brenda Ragland (Dennis) and Virginia Smith and sister-in-law Elizabeth Davis; Teresa Wilson and brother-in-law Forest Unrath Jr. He also leaves to cherish his memory one adopted brother Leroy Pendleton Jr. and three adopted sisters: Amber Jackson (Roger), Lisa Pendleton, Barbara Morris (Carl) and Patricia Woolfolk. Lloyd also leaves to cherish his memory ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild; mother-in-law Barbara Batchelor, father-in-law Forrest Unrath; four aunts: Dorothy King, Teresa Buckner, Mable Smith, Annie Saunders; four uncles: Larry Pendleton (Debbie), Earl Pendleton (Tammy), Roy Smith, Emmett Smith (Vanesa) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 in The Sun Chapel D. D. Watson Louisa, with the Rev. Dr. Earl Pendleton officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith-Pendleton Family Cemetery.
