Lee Davis Richardson, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend departed this life to be with our Lord on December 2, 2023.

Dad was born to the late Vivian Scott Richardson and Eleanor Burruss Richardson. Lee was a lifelong servant of God, accepting Christ at the Shady Grove Baptist  Church in 1933. He was a member of the men's choir and combined choir. He also served as a Trustee and Trustee Emeritus at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Dad was a member of the MW Prince Hall Grande Lodge of Virginia, Louisa Temple Lodge #113, until his death. He also proudly served his country during World War II as an Army Private First class. After completing basic training in Fort Meade, Maryland, he was stationed in Germany, where he served as a truck driver. During his tour, he received an Army Occupation Medal, a World War II Victory Ribbon and a Label Button.

In Dad's professional life, he was a farmer and a carpenter. As a young man he worked on his father's farm with his brothers, where he learned the basics of farming. Also during his early years, he and his brothers took up various trades, including carpentry. He honed his carpenter skills at Perna and Cantrel Trucking Company, where he worked refurbishing Safeways and other building construction projects. In1973, after a serious accident, he retired from Cantrell and reinvigorated his farming career. Dad really loved to farm and spent many summers teaching his next generation of farmers including his many nephews. He spent many years on the old home place, raising cattle, and growing prize winning watermelons. He worked as a farmer well into his 80's before finally retiring.

Daddy was preceded in death by Ruth, his loving wife of 72 years. Daddy leaves behind four daughters; Francine Blackwell, Linda Richardson, Marilyn Richardson, and Glenda White (Roger); six grandchildren Lee Gray, Rasheika Cajanding, Ian Blackwell, Amber Crook (Lyle), Darian White, and Deveri White; and three great grandchildren, Mia Cajanding, Sutton Crook, and Willow Gray; Five siblings, Mary Jean Comfort, Romano Richardson, Ruth McGhee, Jack Richardson (Chris), and Agnes Thomas (John). His in-laws: Amon Comfort (Dora) Vivian Comfort, Geraldine Richardson, Mary Lou Richardson, Jean Taylor, and Eleanor Johnson; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
