God sent his angel to usher our beloved, Lawrence Edward Carter , home on Saturday, January 6, 2018.  Lawrence was born April 8, 1959 in Louisa County to the union of Otis and Dorothy Carter.  He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.  Lawrence loved God and was a very humble, quiet, loving soul.  He loved his family and friends and would help any way he could, if needed.  He would be so excited when there was a family gathering  and would usually be the first to arrive.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Baby Carter; his sister, Joyce; brother, Michael; niece, Dee Dee and nephew Landon.
Lawrence's loving memories are left to comfort his daughter Ashley Carter; brothers, Otis (Helen) and Herbert (Kathleen); sisters, Deborah Trice and Robin (Tony) Eure; great aunt, Mary Hughes; aunts, Irene Collins and Elizabeth Quarles and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He had a special relationship with Doris Foster, Dakota Batten, Courtney Buckner and Wesley Johnson.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at First Baptist Church, 102 Meadows Ave, Louisa, VA with Rev. Bruce Jones officiating.
Interment will be private.
