Julian Russell Kinney, 87, of Louisa, departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2010.
He was the son of the late Russell and Berta Kinney. He is survives by his wife of 69 years, Mary Kinney; two daughters, Mary R. Davis, of Sacramento, CA, and Roberta Ann Jackson-Carter, of Louisa, Virginia; five granddaughters, Constance L. Smith of Louisa, Cheryll D Jackson of North Carolina; Cassandra L. Davis of California; Chantae D. Sanders and her husband Damion, of Minnesota; and Chereese D. Jackson of Louisa; one grandson, Damion Sanders of Minnesota; eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Julian was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He bore his illness with patience and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 2, 2010, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel. Funeral rites will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at First Baptist Church 102 Meadows Ave with the Rev. Charles Sims officiating. Burial with military honors, will be in the First Baptist Church Cemetery.
