Julia Mae Green Moore, 82 of Mineral, Virginia, died on Friday, July 20, 2012, at her residence in Mineral, Virginia . Born Sunday, March 30, 1930 in Mineral, Virginia , she was the daughter of the late William Green and the late Ella Wickham Green. She was the wife of the late Henry Louis Moore. She was a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Alvin Moore and his wife Janice of Mineral, VA and Michael Moore of Waynesboro, VA; daughters, Sandra M Sawyer and her husband LeRoy of Lanham, MD; Emma Moody and her husband Charles of Oxon Hill, MD, and Teresa Courtney and her husband Melvin of King George, VA; 15 grand children; 15 great grand children and 5 great-great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 in the chapel of Thomasson Watson. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Rising Sun Baptist Church with the Rev. Arthur Lee officiating and the Rev. Frederick Sales Eulogist. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
