Joyce Lee Price Merritte, 70 of Louisa ,Va departed this life on Thursday August 8, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 9,1948, to the late Arsey and Gertie Price of Louisa Va. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. She joined County Line Baptist Church at an early age where she served faithfully until her health started to decline. She loved attending family gatherings ,traveling, going to the beach and cruising.

Her memories will be cherished by her daughter, Jessica (Charles)Hughes of Louisa; two sons ,Horace (Mary) Harris, Stephen Harris and Friend Charity Lopez both of Chesterfield Va; and devoted fiance, Jeffery Jackson,; four sisters, Pearl Johnson, Geraldine (Lloyd) Walker, Annette(Lonnie) Dickerson all of Louisa and Jane (James) Cox of Powhatan Va and one brother, Curmay Price of Cartersville Va. Joyce was blessed with one grandchild, Francesca Hughes and one great grandchild,  La'Nayah Whiters. Also left to cherish her memories are two sisters-in-law, one devoted aunt, Annie Porter Price of Louisa; one devoted niece Toby Lane; one devoted nephew, Morton Price and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019, at County Line Baptist Church, 4070 County Line Road, Kents Store, Virginia 23084 with Rev. Wesley Tolliver officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
