Joyce Lee Price, 82 of Louisa, Virginia  peacefully entered rest on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at home.

She was born May 8, 1939 to the late Henry Monroe Desper and Bertha Waddy Desper.

She joined County Line Baptist Church at an early age.

One of her favorite hobbies was cooking and enjoying delicious home-cooked meals.

She was the wife of the late Floyd Price of Louisa, VA and was preceded in death by four brothers, Eugene, Robert, Henry and Calvin Desper and one son, Floyd Price, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Everett Price of Louisa, VA (Josephine) and Keith Price of Hyattsville, MD (Sylvia); one daughter, Karen Elaine Price (Stacy) of Louisa, VA; one brother, Vivian Desper (Shirley) of Coltons Point, MD; five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. She is also survived by granddaughters, Nakia Price-Harris (Catrell) of Raleigh, NC,  Layla Price and Kayli Price of Hyattsville, MD; grandson, Bakari Price of Hyattsville, MD;  two great-grandsons, Mylacs Burruss and Messiah Harris of Raleigh, NC; great grandson, Amir Godfrey and a host of many nieces, nephews; and four dear friends, Francis Mitchell, Lora Payne, Venela King and Edward Price.
