A Time to Be Born

On December 3, 1936, Josie Jackson was the oldest born to the late Willis and Edith Marie Jackson of Mineral, Virginia.  She now rests with her loved ones who preceded her in everlasting life, parents, Willie and Edith Jackson; sister, Alice J. Coles and brother, Richard E. Jackson.

A Time to Embrace

Josie joined the St. John Baptist Church in Mineral in 1945 and later moved her membership to Mt. Gilliam Old Site Baptist Church.  She was a faithful member who loved the Lord serving on the Deaconess Board, Church Choir, Hospitality Committee, and church custodian.

A Time to Plant

Josie attended the Louisa County Training School.  After completing school, she was employed at the Mineral Factory and worked at the Louisa Manufacturing Company for over thirty years.  She was highly respected for her swift production at her job.

A Time to Love

Josie was married to the LOVE of her life, Isiah Waddy on December 25, 1956.  They were married for 50 happy years.
