John Melvin Mickens, 73 of Mineral, Virginia died on Friday, January 24, 2020
Born Monday, March 4, 1946 in Louisa, Virginia , he was the son of the late Cornelius Motee Mickens and Louise Hunter Mickens.
Surviving are daughters, Michelle Johnson, Dana Shelton and LaToya Jackson, two brothers, Cornelius Morris Mickens and George Henry Mickens, also surviving, three grandchildens and his care taker Barbara Jackson.
He was predeceased by brother, Wallace Henry Mickens.
Viewing will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. in the Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Louisa Chapel.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at Laural Hill Church Cemetery, Mineral, VA.
