Deacon Jimmie Broadus Johnson, 79, of Kents Store, VA, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at his residence.
He was born June 3, 1935 to the late Thomas and Daisy F. Johnson. He was preceded in death by brothers: Charlie, George, Lewis and Willie Johnson.
He leaves to "hold dear" memories of his life, wife of 59 years, Annie P; children, Percy(Denise), June Athy(Calvin) of Kents Store VA, and Vanessa Scott (Zachary) of Marshall, VA; grandchildren, Kendra Ellis (Jamar), Aysha Scott, Darris Johnson, Tyjuan Lee and Aaron Athy; great-grandchildren, Johaun and Korryn Ellis; siblings; Shirley Burton, Thelma Jackson (Fred) and Mable Smith of VA, Dorothy Braxton, Kathleen Johnson, Clistine Johnson, Thomas C.(Ruth) of MD and John (Lisa) of DC; brother-n-law, George (Cornelia) Price of VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015, at County Line Baptist Church, 4070 County Line Road, Kents Store, VA 23084. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. until beginning of service; interment will follow in the church cemetery.
