Jeffery William Ragland departed this life on July 26,2011 at his home in Louisa, Virginia. Jeffery was born August 31st ,1965 to the late Phillip Herman Ragland and Sarah E. Ragland.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his stepfather, Carl E. Burgess, two sisters, Peggy Ann Burgess, Selina F. Burruss and grandparents, Worth Ragland, James and Arlene Rollins.

He was a very loving and kind man willing to help anyone in need and loved his job at Bailey Printing. Jeffery leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Sarah E. Burgess; three brothers, Calvin Ragland and his wife Marion of Louisa Virginia, Carl Burgess and his wife Laurentina of Keswick, Virginia and Troy Burgess and his devoted friend Maria Staton of Scottsville, Virginia; four nieces, Ginia Price and her husband Steven of Louisa, Virginia, Sierra, Sieanna, Shayla Burgess of Scottsville, Virginia; one nephew, Michael Ragland of Louisa, Virginia; one great niece, Kamarah Burgess of Louisa, Virginia; one great nephew, Kendall Burgess of Louisa, Virginia; one grandmother, Pearl Lomax of Louisa, Virginia; one devoted aunt, Alice Scott of Louisa, Virginia; two devoted uncles, David Rollins and Tony Lomax of Louisa, Virginia and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Rollins Family Cemetery.
