Jeanette Kenny Willis, 90 departed this life Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the Louisa Health Care Center. She was born June 28, 1917, in Mineral, Virginia, to the late Thomas Kenny and Iona Dandridge Kenny. Her husband, Clifton Willis and a brother, Leroy Kenny preceded her in death. Mrs. Willis attened school in Louisa County and was a member of Mt. Gilliam Old Site Baptist Church. On November 3, 1949 she married Clifton Willis and from this union one daughter, Louise Elizabeth Willis, was born.
Jeanette worked as a cook and housekeeper for a few years. She moved to Philadelphia for several years and returned to Virginia. Her health began to fail and she became a resident at Louisa Health Care Center where she was called to her eternal home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving daughter, Louisa Elizabeth Willis (her friend, Roy Lee Smith), of Louisa, VA; her grandchildern, Clarence Willis, of Orange, VA, Tomeka Jackson and Rose Jackson, both of Louisa, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be missed by her special nephew, Leroy White, of Texas and special nieces, Iona Williams, of Maryland and Lucy Kenny, of Washington, D.C.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Mt. Gilliam Old Site Baptist Church 4161 Chalklevel Road (RR 624)Louisa,VA with the Rev. Sherman W. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
