Gordonsville - James Edward Verdier , 81, a beloved resident of Gordonsville, VA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Laurels Nursing Home in Charlottesville, VA.

Born on September 12, 1943, to Edward and Ruby Terrell Verdier, James was known for his kind and warm-hearted nature. He had a love for singing and was always eager to share stories of the past, never meeting a stranger. His friendly spirit and kind words left an impression on everyone he met. James often spoke fondly of his family, especially his parents, and cherished memories of his childhood friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Verdier.

He is survived by his close cousin, Harry Powell, and other family members, including Sharon Tate and the Terrell family
