Deacon James "Skipper" Seaberry, Jr., entered eternal rest on Monday, November 10, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on November 15, 1950, in Louisa, Virginia, to Beulah Morris and the late James Seaberry, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Curtis Morris, and his stepson, Tony Lee, Sr.

James received his education in the Louisa County Public School System. Shortly after graduating, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly and honorably served his country. A talented auto mechanic and dedicated dump truck driver, he devoted his life to work he truly enjoyed.

At an early age, James accepted Christ and became a faithful member of Zion Travelers Baptist Church. He later joined Eagle Baptist Church, where he was ordained as a Deacon on March 10, 2013. He loved serving the Lord and often led worship services with joy and devotion. His
favorite saying, "Come and sow that seed," reflected his generous spirit and deep-rooted faith.

In addition to his service and work, James had a passion for vintage cars and drag racing. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to all who knew him.

James leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Mary Seaberry; his mother, Beulah Morris; and his children, Latonya Dickerson, Tammy Seaberry (Chad), Eric Seaberry (Billie), Lovice Gearld, and Latasha Seaberry (Dayman). He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Vanessa Lloyd (Sanford), Carolyn Baskerfield (Paul), Maxine Mitchell (Ronnie), Lisa Abdelmagid, and Dana Seaberry; and his brothers, Bobby Seaberry (Sandra) and Nathan Seaberry; along with 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 6 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Although he is no longer with us in body, his love, kindness, and joyful spirit will forever live in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

To the Seaberry family, we at D. D. Watson offer our most sincere sympathy and condolences. Our prayer continues to be that your abiding faith in God will lend to you a measure of comfort that will strengthen and sustain you during your time of sorrow.

It is during such times as these that we draw upon our faith, stand upon our scriptures, and rely upon our God. There is no question that in this and through this, God will keep you, comfort you, and sustain you. You and your family are forever in our prayers.
