James Montaque Key born February 23, 1936 to the late Montaque and Julia H. Key.  His three sisters, one brother and one son also preceded him in death.

Key became a member of County Line Baptist Church at an early age.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Lavern K. Johnson (KD), Cheryl K. Thorne; three sons, Ronnie Key, Eric Joe Key and Gordon Price; one loving sister, Joann K. Price; three nieces, Nora Pleasant, Marilyn K. Anderson and Karen White; one nephew, John Key; special friend and caregiver, Sylvia Haskin; two devoted friends, Chris Lacy and Leon Harris, Jr.; his young work helpers, Kobe Hurbert and Roger Bruce and two other special friends, Louise Hubert and Aissha Kissy Rush.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Louisa, with interment follow in the Family Cemetery Kents Store, VA.
