James Edward Davis, Sr., 75 of Washington, DC formerly of Louisa, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. James was the son of the late Ruby and Alice Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Davis. Survivors include, a devoted wife of 52 years, Kathy Ferguson Davis; one son, James Edward Davis, Jr. of Ruckersville, VA, three grandchildren, Brian and Corey Davis of Orlando, FL and Skyler Davis of Ruckersville, VA; four sisters, Alice Robinson of Mineral, VA, Betsy Davis of Louisa, VA, Mary Lee Davis of Atlantic City, NJ and Earnestine Davis of Pleasantville, NJ; three brothers, Arthur, Henry and Ruby Davis all of Louisa, VA and a loyal friend, William Coleman of Washington, DC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25th from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26th at 1:00 p.m. with viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Temple of Deliverance, HCG, Inc., 5756 Zachary Taylor Highway, Mineral, VA 23117. Interment will follow in the Davis Family Cemetery.
