Irvin Mario Fountain , 44 of Troy, VA known to all who knew and loved him as "Jack" departed this life on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, VA. He was born on April 15, 1979 to Priscilla Quarles and Irving Quarles at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.

As a young adult Jack graduated from Fluvanna County High school and joined the National Guard, he was a Jack of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands and doing construction as well as other jobs that kept him moving. Jack loved sports, the Indianapolis Colts and UVA in particular, a good meal and talking to his family sharing stories of the good times. On any given days Jack could be found riding down the road with his head out the window blasting go-go music on his way to the carwash or playing a game of cards in the yard at Aunt Peck's house with a beer in hand while trying to avoid the mosquitos. Jack had an infectious laugh that could bring a smile to the darkest days and stories that would bring tears of laughter to your eyes.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Irving Quarles, grandmother, Nannie Mae Fountain, grandmother, Ruby Quarles, uncle, James "Seedy" Fountain, and cousin Myron "Boochie" Fountain.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Priscilla Quarles, dad, Louis Quarles, children, Alexis Fountain, Jordan Fountain and Corey Fountain, sisters, Yolanda Fountain and Tierra Quarles, aunt, Patricia Fountain and cousin, Donika Fountain, grandchildren Dallas Fountain, Noah Johnson, nephews Malachi Djamessi, Xavier Payne, Ethan Djamessi and Roman Djamessi and grandfather Willie Washington along with many other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
