Irene Wade Mickens, 74, of Louisa, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Irene was born on August 16, 1935 to Timothy and Martha Wade. Irene was preceded in death by two daughters, Pat Jones and Maria Lanuzo. Irene leaves to cherish her memories a brother, Johnnie Wade, a daughter, Johnetta Bell and her fiancée Lonell Hardy, three sons, John Mickens, Johnathan Mickens and his fiancée Trudy Watkins and Anthony Lanuzo and his wife Tanya Lanuzo; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Bright Hope Baptist Church, 9833 Poindexter Road, Louisa, Virginia 23093. A repast will commence immediately following the service. Viewing will be held at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel, 117 West St, Louisa, Virginia 23093 on Friday, January 1, 2010 from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. The body will lie in state from 12: 30 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bright Hope Baptist Church.
