Irene Ying Lemon born March 6,1949 in Hong Kong of Louisa Va. went to be with her Mom & Dad peacefully on Thursday February 27, 2020 at the age of 70. Irene came to America from Hong Kong at the age of 19 to start the "American Dream" with a young soldier that she met while he was on active duty as a Marine. September 28th of 1968, she married the love of her life, Daniel Lemon and they proceeded to have two fabulous sons that loved their mother dearly. Irene worked very hard to become a successful business woman.
In 1984, she and her husband purchased and became owner/operators of the Louisa Mini Mart in Louisa Virginia. Their son, Andrew Lemon now owns the business and operates it after purchasing it from his parents in the mid 90's. The entrepreneur that she and her husband were, they then went on to purchase real estate where she provided lovely rentals in multiple counties throughout Va. She and her husband also drove across country as owner/operators in the Tractor Trailer that they owned until full retirement in 2007. She and her husband spent their retirement enjoying their property in Louisa VA where she used her free time outside cutting grass & planting flowers as well as spending time with their family and 2 dogs Susie and Sassy.
Irene is proceeded in death by her, Father Hung Kong and her Mother, Heung Kong.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Lemon; son, Stephan Lemon and his Wife Sandra Lemon along with their two daughters, Cricket and Samantha Lemon of Natick, Massachusetts and son, Andrew Lemon and his Wife Pamela Black-Lemon along with their five children Joshua Lemon, Christene Acosta, Tatum Black, Saige Black, Lillyanna Black of Louisa Virginia. Irene is also survived by her beloved siblings, brother, Alan Kong, his wife Yuet Kong and their children, brother, Anthony Kong, his wife Suzanna Kong, and their children, sister, Susan Au and her husband, Aguan Au, and their children, brother, Wilson Kong and his wife, Lanna Kong, and their children, sister, Winnie Mak and her husband, Alan Mak and their child and brother, Eric Kong and his wife, Daisy Kong, and their children. There are also countless but loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
A Celebration Of Life Service is being planned for a later date.
