Inez Virginia Ferrell "Gin/Nanny" was born April 8, 1924 to the late Frank and Viola Robie.

She was born in Lincoln, Georgia. Inez worshipped at White Rock Baptist Church where she became a member with her family. Also, she attended Springfield Baptist Church…there she and her sisters formed a quartet. When she sang, it was a very sweet voice that made you stop and listen. She attended school in Lincoln and graduated from Washington High School. She taught at Beaverdam Elementary School for several years before moving to Atlanta Georgia to experience a different life in her younger years. There she held a job at Grady's Theater for several years before venturing back to Washington, Georgia.  In Washington, Georgia she met her husband, Roy Ferrell, the one that gave her a "Love tap" in school that turned into marriage. While there in Washington, she was educated by taking nursing courses to become a Practical Nurse.  She left Georgia with her husband and settled in Toms River, New Jersey.

After several years, her sisters followed her to New Jersey and settled there as well. She worked for several years in nursing and then became a housewife helping her sisters take care of their children and attending to her own child. She was very protective of the children, even her great-grandson when she lived with Arthur. Marquis could do no wrong nor could you raise your voice to him.

Even when Corley'ha would visit, she treated her like a baby. She definitely LOVED children. Gin was a very studious lady. She perfected everything she did. She rose before the sun and would dress like she had a job interview every day. Whenever we attended church, she had to have stockings and heals on and was not satisfied unless she had them. Even as her health declined this was a must. She was a "Very Independent" woman even unto her death. She always wanted to help others.

As she aged, she loved sitting on the porch from sunup to sundown. She enjoyed the outside watching God at his best and she knew who God was. She studied the word. She was a woman of little statue and few words. But when she spoke you listened because it was words of Wisdom that God had given her just for you. Traveling was a love she had anytime, a car was leaving she would be in it even though she never had a license or drove a day in her life. But she got to where she had to go. Now she is in God's Kingdom with her sweet voice singing unto the angels, well dressed with her high heels on.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Roy Ferrell; sisters: Elizabeth Moore, Marietta Robie; Daughter Patricia Ann Lee and grandchildren: Mitchell Lee, Sean Lee Harris.

She is survived by sisters: Curtis Burnett of New Jersey, Dr. Essie Terrell (Paul) of New Jersey, Addie Burke of New Jersey, Bernice Holland of New Jersey; grandson, Rev. Arthur D. Lee III (Teashayl) of Virginia; grandchildren: Cheniqua Lee of Nevada, Celeste Garovane of New Jersey, Marquis Lee of Virginia and great-granddaughter, Corley'ha McGee of Nevada.

Her grandson Arthur "Loved her Dearly" . He was a true Man of God caring for her every need whether it was Spiritual or Physical. Now we say "Thank You" to God for lending her to us for a Wonderful 96 Years ….
