Henry Lee Shelton, son of the late Charlie O and Emma L. Shelton, was born June 8, 1941.  God called him home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his siblings; sisters, Cathereine Shelton, Shirley Smith, and Bernadine Shelton; and brothers, Woodrow, Clarence, Joseph, Oscar and Vergie Shelton.

Henry attended public school in Louisa county, VA.  After high school, he met and married Daisy Robinson and they moved to Richmond, VA where his job was GRTC bus driver.  Daisy passed away January 28, 1999 after  a long illness. Later on in life, Henry married Sheila Keaton Cotman who also predeceased him.  Henry loved his job being a GRTC bus driver and he retired after 40 years of working.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Tina Shelton-Boone, Jance Harris, and Terence Coleman; four grandchildren, Yarshieva, Alexis, Jasmine, and Jade; one great granddaughter, Journee; and one stepson, Terrence Cotman.  He also leaves his siblings, Charlie Shelton, Jr. (Gertrude) of Richmond, David Shelton (Emma) and Arlene Shelton of Henrico, Joyce Johnson (Anthony) and Onedia Taylor (Henry) of Chesterfield, Sarah Smith (Meredith) and Louise (Walter) Langhorne of Goochland, George Shelton, Emma (Tim) Shelton and Doris Tomes of Louisa; sisters-n-law, Joslyn Shelton and Eva Shelton of Louisa, and his best friend, Robert L. Scott, Jr. of Richmond.
