Henry Coleman, Jr. was born to the late Henry and Christana Coleman on August 23, 1940, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He departed this life to be with the Lord on February 23, 2012 at Spotsylvania Regional Hospital.

Henry attended school in Spotsylvania, Virginia. He joined the Holy Church of God in Mineral, Virginia at an early age. He was self employed and worked in the logging industry with his son, Jeffery. Henry was a good, hard working man that provided well for his family.

In 1959 Henry married Hannah White Coleman. To this union was born five children.

Henry leaves behind to cherish many blessed memories, his devoted and beloved wife of fifty four years, Hannah Marie Coleman; two sons, Henry Coleman, III (Pam) and Jeffery B. Coleman both of Spotsylvania, Virginia; three daughters, Hannah Marie Hall (Paul) of Beulaville, North Carolina, Doreen Athey (Steve) of Goochland, Virginia and Michelle Talley (Franklin) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; two sisters, Geraldine Richardson (Howard) of Orange, Virginia and Christine White (Broadus) of Seat Pleasant, Maryland; a mother in law, Ruth Carter of Unionville, Virginia; three brother in laws, Broadus White (Christine) of Seat Pleasant, Maryland, George Carter (Rita) of Oakridge, Tennessee and John Carter (Karen) of Unionville, Virginia; Two sister in laws, Virginia Johnson of Lorton, Virginia and Sandra Fitzgerald (Alfonso) of Reston, Virginia. Henry was preceded in death by his brother, Emanuel Coleman. Henry also leaves behind sixteen grand children, Keith, Darrin, Sharnet, Kristian, Jazzelle, Shatina, Bridget, Vollney, Teresa, Paul Jr., Justin, Breon, Shaute, Chaunda, Evante, and Franklin Jr; Twenty three great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Temple of Deliverance, HCG, Inc. 5756 Zachary Taylor Hwy Mineral, VA 23117 with Elder Lynn W. Beanum officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery.
