Helen was born on July 7, 1949, to the late Earl and Octavia Williams. At an early age, she attended Lightfoot Elementary and Middle School in Orange County, VA. Then, the family moved to Philadelphia, and she attended William Penn School for Girls. Helen soon met the love of her life in Theodore Lesesane. Their union produced a daughter, Towanda Lesesane, and Theodore Lesesane Jr.
In 1980, Helen and Theodore moved their family back to her home state of Virginia, where she became employed with Orange County School System as a Head Custodian and later worked in the cafeteria for over 20 years. Helen also worked for the Spotsylvania County School system as well as a Head Custodian before retiring after 10 years.
Helen was an advent member of Calvary Baptist Church as a Deaconess and an usher. She also attended Shady Grove Baptist Church and was an usher there as well. Helen was well loved by all and loved her Sunday services with family and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Octavia Williams, and her sisters, Estell and Doris Williams.
Helen leaves behind her husband, Theodore Lesesane; brothers Earl Williams, Michael Williams, and Eugene Williams; sisters, Beverly White-Williams and Vivian Williams; son, Theodore Lesesane, Jr. and his wife, Sherece Lesesane; daughter, Towanda Williams and her husband, Marshall Williams; 5 grandchildren, Michael Davis, Nicole Williams, Nehemiah Lesesane, Tamia Williams and Zyan Lesesane; great-grandchildren, Celina, Nikko, and Aniya and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Helen loved her flowers and listening to her gospel and jazz music.
To the Lesesane family, we at D. D. Watson offer our most sincere sympathy and condolences. Our prayer continues to be that your abiding faith in God will lend to you a measure of comfort that will strengthen and sustain you during your time of sorrow.
