On Sunday, November 5, 2017, Gloria Lee Washington departed this life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elnora and Russell Lee Sr., sister, Joyce Lee and brother, James Jones. She was born on February 15, 1961 in Charlottesville, VA. Gloria accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Eagle Baptist Church where she served until her death. She was employed by Tri-Dim Filter Co. at the time of her death. She loved spending time with her family, but her greatest joy came from Amaya & Ajah (her youngest granddaughters). She had an infectious smile that would light up a room. She will be missed by all her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ralph Washington; one son , Eric Lee (fiancé Kim Washington) both of Louisa, VA; five step children: Ralph Washington, Jr., (Taporia) of Louisa, VA, Paula Johnson (James Bledsoe) of Buckingham, VA, Rachel Burton (Demetrius) of Fluvanna, VA, Timothy Washington (Rachelle) of Ohio and Charnelle Meredith (William) of Nelson; seven sisters: Shirley Wynn, Mary Seaberry (James), Irma Christmas (Andrew), Deborah Robinson, Terry & Shelia Lee, all of Louisa and Elnora Grooms (Melvin) of Charlottesville, VA ; three brothers: Robert Lee (Florence) of Buckingham, VA, Russell Lee, Sr., and John Lee (Mattie); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She also had three special friends, Gaylon Hiter, Trina Hunter and Angela Cutler. Viewing will held from noon until 7 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 in the Sun Chapel of D.D. Watson Mortician, Louisa. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Eagle Baptist Church, 4683 Mt. Airy Road, Louisa, VA 23093, with Rev. Roger Braxton, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
