Gerald Anthony Henson began his earthly journey on March 11, 1965 the son of Pauline Henson and the late Horace D. Green.  While surrounded by his daughters and their mom and  his mother, on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 2:43 AM Gerald quietly slipped from his earthly season and began his eternal journey to his Eternal Rest.

Gerald was a 1983 graduate of Louisa County High School and he played Little League baseball with J. C. Ryan as his coach.  Gerald was a 20+ year employee of Dominion Energy, retiring in May, 2019.  Gerald loved dancing, sports (an avid 49ers fan), and music.  All of that combined, Gerald was in his true element when surrounded by family and friends at cookouts and other gatherings.  The '618 Community' was a love for him. Gerald brought smiles to the faces of all in his presence, yet he was a very private person and chose to use his season of illness as his time to meditate with the Lord.  Gerald was a member of Louisa Temple Lodge 113.

On September 24, 1979, Gerald was baptized by Reverend Joseph Hayden at Ebenezer Baptist Church and joined with the membership of the Rising Sun Baptist Church.   Gerald was a member of the Ushers Ministry as an adolescent and sang with the Workshop Choir later in life.  On September 27, 1997 Gerald and Doris Whalen were joined in holy matrimony and were blessed with the loves of their lives:  Cierra Dion and Nia Caitlin.

Gerald was preceded in earthly death by his father, Horace D. Green.

Left to cherish sweet memories are his loving and devoted daughters:  Cierra and Nia and their mother, Doris; his mother Pauline Henson;  two aunts:  Della Carter of Louisa and Margaret Houchens of Mineral;  great-aunts:  Thelma Leonard of Fort Washington, MD, Mary Waller of Spotsylvania, Lucille Brown and Shirley Hunter of Mineral and a host cousins, other relatives, and friends.
