Gene Alphozo Graves Sr., 64 of Mineral, Va died Monday, January 8, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Lee and Elnora Yancey Graves. Gene was born on July 28, 1942 In Washington, D.C. Gene retired in 2004 after 17 years with Hanover County. He is survived by one son Gene A. Graves, Jr.;four sisters, Joanne Carr,Shirley Thurnton,Paula Graves and Stephany Gist, Five brothers Clarence C.,Norman, Sterling, David,Sr. and Roger Graves; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at The Chapel prior to the service with Rev.Edward R.Moody officiating. Interment will follow in the Graves and Buckner Family Cemetery.
