Fred Wilson Payne, Jr., 60 of Louisa, Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia .

Born Sunday, January 14, 1962 in Louisa, Virginia , he was the son of the late Fred Wilson Payne, Sr. and the late Ida Hayden Payne Brooks. He was the husband of the late Katherine Leake Payne.

He attended Louisa County Public Schools.

Surviving are: one son, Quinton Smith and wife Justlan; grandson, Quinton Smith, Jr.; two sisters, Freda P. Jones (Nelson) and Donna Bank (Robert).

He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Leake Payne and brother, Mr. Kevin "Keebie" Lynn Payne.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 in The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Louisa.
