Franklin Connell(Sonny) Coleman, 67, of Mineral, Virginia (Spotsylvania County) died Friday, December 12, 2008 at Mary Washington Hospital Fredericksburg, Virginia. Mr. Coleman is the fourth son born February 8, 1941, to the late Clevious and Martha Coleman of Spotsylvania County, Virginia. He was a retired electronics engineer and an expert watch and jewelry repairman. He also served in the U.S. Army for 10 years. He is survived by his son, Frank Porter (Stacey) of Clinton, Maryland; one daughter, Crystal Mack (David) of Ft. Washington, Maryland; four grandchildren, Francesca, Frank, Jr., Porsha, Carissa and Catherine; one brother, Elwood Coleman, Sr.,(Nan) of Richmond, Virginia; two sisters, Gloria Coleman of New York and Arnisha Coleman-Thurston (Larry) of Washington, DC; one aunt, Myrtle Jackson of Louisa, Virginia; two uncles, Luther Mosby (Joyce) and Purcell Mosby all of Washington, DC; a former wife and friend, Kathy P. Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday, December 19, 2008 at Temple of Deliverance (HCG) 5756 Zachary Taylor Highway Mineral, Virginia 23117 with Elder Lynn W. Beanum, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman Family cemetery.
