Franklin Roosevelt Horton, Sr., 86 of Mineral, Virginia died on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, Virginia .
Born Friday, December 28, 1923 in Louisa, Virginia , he was the son of the late Luther and Cordellia Fox Horton. He was the husband of the late Hazel Coleman Horton.
He attend Louisa County Public Schools and was employed by Stone & Webster.
Surviving are sons, Alvernes Coleman and wife Beth, Marv Horton and wife Lesley, Timothy Horton, Robert Horton, Gregory Horton and wife Patsy and Franklin Kenny; daughters, Irish Johnson and husband James, Chanda Brown and Mona Nelson and husband Tony; 18 grand children; 14 great grand children.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel, 117 West Street Louisa, VA.
Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Church Cemetery, Mineral, VA.
