Frank Russell Talley , 89 of Mineral, Virginia departed this life on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his residence. He was born on April 10, 1933, in Spotsylvania, VA. Frank was blessed to be loved by his parents, George E. Talley and Hazel R. Talley of Spotsylvania, VA. At an early age, he was baptized at St. John Baptist Church, Louisa, VA and later joined Shady Grove Baptist Church, Orange, VA.
He was loved by so many people. He was known to most as Noonie. He loved his family and community. He worked hard his entire life. Early in his life, he shuttled the community to and from stores when there was no other form of transportation. He owned his own excavating business and was a part of building the I95 corridor. He had the privilege of cutting the ribbon at the Quantico Ribbon cutting ceremony. In his last days, he was asked by Pastor Dwayne Robinson, House of Victory, for words of wisdom and he replied "Have Faith in God and be good to the people". Those are words he lived by and he will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Hazel Talley; wife, Thelma Talley; daughter, Shirley Talley of Spotsylvania, VA;
Frank leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Grace Yvonne Kelly & Catherine Talley; son, Eddie (Pearlene) Talley all of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, Nina Kelly-Carter (Ramon), Tammy Kelly (Amonte), Dean Kelly, Anthony Talley (Gloria), and Eric Parker; great-grandchildren, Natica Prailow, Sharda Sparks, Rashard Kelly, Ramon & Normandy Carter, Dayshia & Derrell Talley, & Emari Parker; great-great grandchildren, McKenzie, McKenley, McCarter, and McKorey Harris, Payton Slaughter, and Brayden Banks all of Fredericksburg, VA and Vaughn Kelly of Oklahoma; siblings, Myrtle Jackson (Robert), and Curtis Talley, all of Spotsylvania, VA; Racheal Syrkes (Carl) deceased, Randolf Talley (Elenore) deceased, Arlene Morris (Wallace deceased), Hazel Lewis (Eugene deceased), and Justine Morris (Bennett) deceased; In laws, Dorothy Moore, Washington, DC, Margaret Griffin, VA Beach, Julia Smith, Glen Allen, Estelle Lindsay, New York, Earl (Marjorie), Evie (Bessie), Herbert, Edith, George Long (Ruth), and Charlie Long all of Orange, VA; deceased are Sarah, Ernest & Archie Lindsay. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews & other relatives & friends to include his cherished friendship with Amos Comfort, and his cat, Tom.
