Frank "Boz" Louis Groomes III, a resident of Louisa, VA, died unexpectedly on July, 25, 2020 at the age of 46.

Frank is survived by his parents, Frank L. Groomes Jr. and Rickey D. Groomes; his wife, Katina Yvette Groomes; his children, Alea R.Turley and Malcolm Turley, Markel K. Groomes and Arielle Groomes; his siblings, Kathleen M. Minor and George Minor, Carrie M. Groomes and Kimberly N. Groomes; his grandchildren, Tristan, Cherish, Malcolm Jr, Amya, Miyla, Amari and Makiya; and his niece and nephews, Nyla, Amir and Joshua.  He is predeceased by his grandparents, Frank Groomes, Carrie Groomes, Stephen Fletcher and Helen Fletcher.

Frank was born in Washington, D.C. on July 21, 1974 to Frank and Rickey Groomes.  On August 13, 2007 he married Katina, a government employee, and his high school sweetheart. On February 26, 1994 and December 12, 1995 respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful children, who were the most important part of his life.

Frank was a devoted father and avid fisherman. He enjoyed storytelling, drawing, comic books, hunting, fishing, and skateboarding during his life.  He often fished at local waterholes and enjoyed sharing his fishermen skills with his children and grandchildren.  Frank was a man of many talents that enjoyed the finer things in life, whether it was hitting the casinos like his parents enjoyed or taking trips to the Outer Banks and fishing with his wife.  Frank enjoyed spending time with his favorite Uncle Carl, and his good friends Rasheed Mills, Kevin Houston, Lloyd Martin, and Austin Williams.  He was the life of the party and he will be truly missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at The Sun Chapel, D. D. Watson Louisa. Minister Brenda P. Thomas will officiate. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 117 West Street, Louisa, VA. Interment will follow in the Groomes Family Cemetery.

Public viewing will take place on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 12-3pm and from 4-7pm in the Chapel.
