Fannie Lee Hackney Timberlake, beloved daughter, wife and sister, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Louisa Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 4, 1932 in Fluvanna County, Virginia to the late William George and Sarah Jane Hackney.
She was the wife of the late Alvin Timberlake. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Caesar and George Hackney; a sister, Willie Jane Farrar; three half –sisters, Amanda Timberlake, Lenora Jones and Virginia Dickerson and two half-brothers, Spencer and Joe Hackney.
Fannie was a graduate of S. C. Abrams High School, Fluvanna, Virginia. She accepted Christ, was baptized, and joined the County Line Baptist Church at an early age, where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. She was a soft-spoken, humble and kind-hearted woman who was loved by all. She enjoyed cooking, flowers and spending time with her sisters. She loved God and her family.
Fannie leaves to cherish her memory two beloved sisters, Mary Ann Scott, Louisa, Va., and Malinda Jane Bruce (Thomas), Kents Store, Va.; two sisters-in-law; Phyllis Hackney, Louisa, Va., and Mattie Hackney, Gainesville, Va.; a devoted friend and neighbor, Theresa Price and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at County Line Baptist Church 4070 County Line Road Kents Store, VA Rev. Dr. Joseph Haden delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
