Everett A. Hill, 58, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Hill was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a retired Superintendent of Maintenance with VDOT. He was the son of Myrtle Mosby Hill Jackson and the late Burnie Davis Hill. He is survived by his wife Gloria D. Hill; his mother Myrtle Mosby Hill Jackson; three children, Von LaGrand Hill Sr., Silvia Hill Harris and her husband, Daniel Wayne Harris of Louisa and Darryl White of Atlanta Georgia; seven grandchildren, Von LaGrand Hill Jr., Malachi Christopher Hill, Nevaeh Simone Hill, Alexia Danielle Harris, Orion Val-Alec Harris, Xavier Silvon Harris and Drake Azar Harris; one step-grandchild, Jessica Marie Sanders; a god-grandchild, Jasmine Jackson of Charlottesville; a host of uncles, an aunt, many cousins and good friends. He also regarded Crystal Hale, Penny Bane, Rachel Morris, Rosalie "Lynn" Vance and Brittany Norfleet as his own daughters. The family will receive friends on Thurday, August 2, 2007 from 6-8pm in the Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 3rd at New Life Community Church, 509 East Main Street Louisa, with the Rev. James Preast officiating. Interment with military burial will follow in the Bright Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
