Ernest Godfrey Webster, son of Minnie Webster and Minister Nathaniel Grooms and the late Thomas H. Webster, was born August 19, 1951 in Louisa, Virginia.
He attended public schools in Maryland and Louisa County and graduated from Louisa County High School.
Ernest joined the United States Army in 1971 and served his tour of duty at Ft. Campbell , Kentucky. He received the Rifle Sharpshooter and National Defense Medals and was honorably discharged in 1973
He lived most of his adult life in Washington, D.C. where he worked for Irban Institute and Wilma, Cutler and Picking the second largest law firm in Washington, D.C.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Minnie Webster, two sons, Xavier and Ernest, Jr.; one daughter, Yanika; six sisters, Diane, Natasha, Muriel, Andrea, Andrenna and Christine; two brothers, Dominic and Nathaniel, Jr.; devoted friends, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Artis; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., at Foster Creek Baptist Church 4028 East Jack Jouett Road Louisa, Va 23093 with Reverend Michael Crawley, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Henson Famaily Cemetery.
