Ernest Lee Moody, 73 of Temple Hills, Maryland, died on Sunday, April 3, 2011. Born Tuesday, October 5, 1937, in Bumpass, Virginia, he was the son of the late Wilson P. Moody, Sr., and the late Annie Johnson Moody.
Ernest was educated in the public schools of Louisa, graduating from A.G. Richardson High School and was a graduate of Virginia State University(Class of 59). He was employed by USDA as a district soil conservationist.
Surviving are brother, Wilson P Moody, Jr., and his wife Shirley, of Orange, VA and one sister, Ruby L. Moody of Temple Hills, MD. He is also survived by his God son, Scott Christian and his wife, Irma of Mesa, AZ., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Temple of Deliverance(HCOG), 5756 Zachary Taylor Highway, Mineral,VA 23117 with Elder Lynn W. Beamon, Jr., officiating.
Interment will follow in Moody Family Cemetery, Bumpass, VA.
