Elwood Linwood Talley, Jr, 46, affectionately known as "Chicken Legs" of Louisa, Virginia died on Monday, June 11, 2012, at his residence in Louisa, Virginia . Born Friday, October 15, 1965 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, he was the son of Elwood Talley, Sr. and Geneva Morris Talley. He attended Spotsylvania County Public Schools.

Elwood is survived by one son, Elwood Shelton; two daughters, Cassandra Monique Shelton and Deidre Nicole Shelton, of Louisa, VA; four brothers, Franklin Talley and wife Michelle, Willard Lee Talley, Sr, Tony Herman Talley and wife Carolina and Elwood Syrkes all of Spotsylvania, VA; seven sisters, Bernice Jackson and husband Lester, Tina Thompson of Louisa, Roberta Norfleet and husband James, Delores Johnson and husband Melvin, of Bumpass, VA, Linda Syrkes and husband James, Tonya Wilson and Elwanda Syrkes of Spotsylvania, VA, three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held at the Thomasson Watson Chapel from 12-5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 15; the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the Temple of Deliverance HCG.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Temple of Deliverance HCG, 5756 Zachary Taylor Highway, Mineral,VA 23093. Interment will follow the services in the church cemetery.
