Elsie Mae Dickerson Shelton was born on September 25, 1947 to the late Elsie and
Horace Dickerson. Elsie was called home on Monday February 27, 2012.

Elsie attended A.G Richardson School in Louisa VA. She was employed by Louisa
Manufacturing for 28 years until they closed. Elise joined the Foster Creek Baptist
Church at an early age, but worshipped regularly with Zion Travelers Baptist Church in
Louisa, VA.

Elsie was married to the late Clyde G Shelton and to this union two sons were born, Kerry
Quinton and Brad O'Neil. Her husband, Clyde Shelton preceded her in death as well as
her parents, Elsie and Horace Dickerson; two brothers, James and Stanley Dickerson
and one sister Betty Dickerson.

Elsie was a devoted wife and loving mother, always caring for her family and especially
for her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Kerry Shelton and his
wife Tracy and Brad Shelton and his devoted friend Bessie Courtney all of Louisa, VA;
a stepdaughter, Lolita Bolling and her husband James of Kents Store, VA; four
grandchildren, Ashley Shelton, of Goochland, Va, Kevin Shelton, Landon Yowell and
Shayla Shelton all of Louisa VA; step-granddaughters Janee and Keyarra Bolling of
Kent Store, VA; two sisters, Emily Ragland and Mildred "Ann" Seaberry of Louisa, Va;
two brothers, John Dickerson and his wife Carrie of Philadelphia, PA and Wade
Dickerson of Louisa, VA; brothers in law, Fleming Shelton of Louisa, VA and Ivor
Shelton and his wife, Mary of Trevilians, VA; sisters in law, Beulah Morris and her
husband Curtis of Mineral, VA and Hunna Harrison of Louisa, VA; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends and a special niece who she claimed as a
daughter Otealia (Tee Tee) Jackson of Louisa, VA.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church, 3662 Roundabout Road, Louisa,VA with the Rev. Gilbert Bates officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
