Elsie Virginia Roberts, 70 of Troy, Virginia died on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at her residence in Troy, Virginia.
Born Tuesday, April 20, 1943 in Troy, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas George And Nancy Holmes Washington.
She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Bonnie L. Roberts and Cindy Washington and husband, James both of Troy, VA; three grandchildren, Chelsy and Cameron Roberts and Antonio Washington of Palmyra, VA; two devoted sisters, Kathleen Johnson and Cassandra Thomas and husband, Anson; four brothers, Ralph Washington and wife Gloria of Louisa, VA, Roger Washington and wife Karen of Troy, VA, James Washington and wife Dianne of Richmond, VA and Thomas Washington and his wife Bertha of Louisa, VA and special friends, Patricia Bradley and Pam Landford. Special thanks to Dr. Erik Kiehl and The Hospice of the Piedmont for their wonderful care.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Springfield Baptist Church, 1042 Zion Road, Troy, VA.
Interment will follow in the Washington Family Cemetery, Troy, VA.
