On Monday, January 14, 2019, Elsie Mae Jackson , age, 77 was called home to be with the Lord.

Elsie was born October 6, 1941 in Louisa, VA. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She a member of the Mt. Garland Baptist Church and served on the Deaconess board, and was a member of the senior choir. She was a 1959 graduate of A. G. Richardson High School in Louisa. She was also employed with McDonalds for 17 years.

Elsie had a passion for cooking and baking and did so as often as she could for all. She also had a love for kids, grandkids and neighborhood kids.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Watson and Marion Waddy; husband, James W. Jackson; brothers, Powell Waddy, Sylvester Waddy, Morris Waddy and Richard Waddy.

She is survived by sisters, Annie Waddy, Rena Waddy and Maude Waddy; brother, David Waddy.

Elsie is also survived by her children, Tommy Jackson (Gail), William Jackson (Tawanda), Patricia Jackson, Wesley Jackson (Dorine), Roger Jackson (Amber), Doris Jackson and Ronnie Jackson (Laura); three sisters-n-law, Francis Waddy, Karen Waddy and Lucille Waddy; five brothers-n-law, Daniel Jackson (Gloria), Isreal Jackson, Henry Jackson, Willie Jackson and John Jackson. She also leaves behind to cherish her fond memories, grandchildren, Shawand Rucker (Miles), Davron, Quantay, Quantel, Brianna, Roger Jr., Lakeisha and Tameia; great grandchild, Saphya Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
