ELLA SMITH HOLLAND, the daughter of the late Herbert
Lee Smith and Emma Brown Smith. She was born on July 13,
1925 in Goochland, Virginia. She was the second child of
two.

Ella was married to Harry Russell Holland, Sr. From this
union seven children were born. She retired from the KMart-
Corporation in Charlottesville, Virginia after twenty five
years of service.

Ella joined County Line Baptist Church at an early age.
Throughout her years of dedicated service at County Line
under the leadership of Rev. Walter H. Jones, Sr. she served
on several church committees, she sang with the Evangelistic
Chorus, served as a Missionary, and was on the Deaconess
board. She was a special person. Everyone loved her.

Ella was living in New Jersey for at least four years with her
daughter and became a visiting member of the Promised
Land Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. E. L. Chamblee
is the Founder and Pastor. After meeting Pastor John T.
Teabout some twenty-five years ago she kind of adopted him
as her son and Pastor. She had something that some of us do
not have one of, and that's three Pastors and she truly loved
all three.

Ella leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Herbert L. Holland, of
Richmond, Virginia. Two daughters, Cornelia Price (George) of
Richmond, Virginia and Diane Holland Reddick (James) of Glen
Allen, Virginia. One Nephew. Arthur H. Odgers of Chesapeake,
Virginia. One Brother-in-Law, Robert Holland (Bessie) of Kents
Store, Virginia. Her husband Harry Russell Holland, Sr.Four sons,
Harry, Jr. (Butch), Ronald, Lander and Bruzell (Jeff) Holland and
one sister, Mary Smith Levy, all preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at County Line Baptist Church 4070 County Line Road Kents Store,VA 23084 with Rev. Walter H.Jones,Sr., officitaing. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
