On Thursday, January 24, 2019, Elisha Alexander Parker, Jr., affectionately known as 'Lil Elisha, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior. Although our hearts are saddened and heavy, we concur that God only takes the best.

Elisha, was born on March 23, 1977 to his parents Elisha Parker Sr. and Rose Mary Thomasson. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Henry White Sr., paternal grandmother, Bernice Parker, and paternal grandfather, Fred Parker.

At an early age, Elisha accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a member of the Branch Fork Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, VA. He received his education in the Spotsylvania County Public School System.

Elisha was a hard-working young man, employed with various jobs. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator with VCC for six years, a job he well loved. He not only loved operating the equipment, he considered his co-workers as his family. Elisha had a deep passion for working on cars in his spare time; and he loved his sons…nothing took the place of spending time with his boys!!  Anything that his boys were involved in he was there...fishing, sports, camping, biking…they were truly the center of his joy.  He loved his family and friends, and was always there to lend a helping hand to any who needed him.

He leaves to carry on his legacy: his sons, Isaiah Alexander Parker, Alexander Elisha Parker, and Kendall Lamont Carter; loving companion, Angelica Talley; mother, Rose Mary Thomasson (Herbert); father, Elisha Parker Sr.; maternal grandmother, Slyvania C. White; three sisters, Marlo Parker (Jameal), Yolanda Johnson, and Shannon Thomasson; four brothers, Toriano Johnson, Damien Lewis, Cedrick Johnson (Tashana), and Mason Parker; a loving and devoted niece, Jazmine; loving aunts and uncles who were instrumental in his upbringing and adult life; a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins who were like sisters and brothers; a lifetime friend and riding buddy, Delonte Johnson; and many other close and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Rising Sun Baptist Church 6829 Fredericks Hall Road Mineral, Virginia 23117 with Rev. Frederick Sales eulogist. Interment will follow in the family cemetery.
