Eleanor Harris Timberlake, graced this world with her empathetic spirit on August 10, 1926, in Vienna, VA, USA. Her life was a testament to the truth that "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Eleanor spent 45 blessed years in Mineral, Virginia, imbuing the community with her loving presence and thoughtful actions.

Eleanor was a woman of substance, wit, and a profound love for her family. She brought these qualities to her work as a Building Supervisor for Fairfax County Public Schools, from where she retired in 1988. Sparks of her wit could often be seen as she engaged in her favorite pastimes, which included embroidery, watching game shows, and keeping up with the latest politics. Eleanor was many things to many people, but above all, she was an embodiment of love. This love was most strongly evident in the deep bond she shared with her family, which was the most significant part of her life, a testament to the truth that, "Family is not an important thing. It's everything," a sentiment shared by Michael J. Fox.

Eleanor is survived by her devoted husband, Wilbert Timberlake, whom she married on September 21, 1974, and her children, Jacqueline Price, Alomah and Mark Timberlake. She was a cherished grandmother to Logan Grooms, Lauren Guzman, Blair Harris, Krystal, Marquis, Newt, Rachael, Ryan and Sean Timberlake as well as a host of great grand children. She also was a beloved aunt to Tia Agee and great aunt to Tiffany Woodard, in addition to countless other nieces and nephews whom she adored. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Mary Murray, her son Eric Timberlake, and her sisters, Cecelia James and Alice Mae Holland.

Eleanor's life was a gift to everyone who had the privilege to know her. Her memory will be cherished, and her legacy will continue to inspire us. In honor of Eleanor, we invite you to share your memories, anecdotes, and photographs on her memorial page. The stories of her life will help us remember not just that Eleanor died, but that she lived, and that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
