Funeral services will start at Noon on Thursday, May 14, 2020.

Rev. Edna Mae Bishop Holt, 86, of Louisa, dedicated her life to her missionary work. She was a loving and kind-hearted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and a friend who touched many lives. On Saturday afternoon, May 9, 2020, Rev. Holt transitioned from labor to reward. Rev. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bobby), Sr., one grandson, Robert Gatewood and four sisters and three brothers.

She worked for many years with the Louisa Manufacturing Company and at her church, Galilee Baptist Church Louisa, as a Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, Missionary, Usher, Prayer Band, Food Bank, Pulpit Aid and as God's servant, a Preacher.

Edna's memory will forever be cherished by her children: Edward Holt (Joyce), Robert Holt, Jr. (Annette), Rev. Larry Holt, Sr. (Shanor), Dr. Peggy Holt-Gatewood, Irvin Holt (Debra); sisters: Mabel Squire of New Jersey and Christine Johnson-McGhee of Louisa; one sister-in-law Melva Smith of Georgia; Grandchildren: Cindy, April (Dennis), Courtney, Gary (Jacqui), Larry Jr., Cher, Roger Jr. (Lisa), Rodney, Dontae, Tami, Mark (Jodi), Brian, Eric and Jared;Godson: Kelly Johnson; several adopted children: Perlean Medlock, Silva Quarles, Gail Cooley, Earlene Smith, Evangelist Sarah, Pastor James Copeland and devoted friend Diane Perkins.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 14, 2020 with Rev. Ruben Lewis, Jr. Officating and Rev. Otis R. Spellman eulogist.
