Early Holland was the tenth of the eleven children born to Thomas & Julia Holland on May 23, 1944. He answered the Lord's call to come home on Monday, November 30, 2015. He graduated from A. G. Richardson High School, Louisa County. He served in the U. S. Army, fighting in the Vietnam war.
After the service he went into partnership with his brother Dick Holland operating Holland Bros. Logging Company. The company ran for 40 fruitful years. After selling the company, Early's main enjoyment was children-especially his kids and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with the Seniors at the Louisa JABA center and watching sports on TV.
Early met his wife, Barbara after he came out of the service in Goochland County and married her in 1978. They had two boys: Maurice (Javotte) and Ryant. They were blessed to have four grandchildren: Arianna, Ian, Isaiah and Anastasia.
He joined Galilee Baptist Church as a young child and was still serving on the Trustee Board at the time of is passing.
In addition to his immediate family, he leaves cherish his memory his two brothers, Ronnie (Phyllis) of Louisa and Leonard of New Jersey; His four sisters: Hossaine of Charlottesville, Ruth, Marjorie, Jeanette of New Jersey.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at Thomasson Watson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Galilee Baptist Church 3598 Three Notch Road Kents Store, VA 23084, with Rev. Otis R. Spellman officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the church cemetery.
