Earl William Richardson was born in Washington, DC on April 3, 1951, son of Sidney Harris, Sr. and Christine Richardson.  He was a graduate of Louisa County High School.

Earl accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized  and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Trustee Board and Men's Choir.

He worked for United States Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC for 46 years before retiring in 2017.  He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, bowling and was a lover of sports.

In addition to his parents, Earl was predeceased by his son, Kevin Banks.

He leaves to cherish his love and memory, his loving wife, Carolyn Richardson; sister, Gloria Bush (George) of Lexington, KY; brother, Sidney Richardson Jr. of Mineral, VA; two stepsons, Corey and Stephen Lindsay of Orange, VA; stepdaughter, Vanessa (Rashard) McCoade of Newport News, VA; nine step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
