Dottie Jo Thomas departed this life on Sunday, January 17,
2010 at her residence in Louisa County.
She was born on December 4, 1948 to the late Calvin C.
Claxton, Sr. and Tressie E. Claxton.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by one
brother, Edward Claxton and one sister, Elizabeth Claxton;
Her loving memories will be cherished by her daughter, Lisa
Marie Claxton Harris; five grandchildren, Jerome Antonio
Johnson, Latasha Shanta Claxton, Danielle Marie Henson,
Rodrico Coreem Booker and Joseph Daniel Henson, Jr.; nine
great grandchildren, four sister, Evvie Ragland and her
husband, George Ragland of Trevilians, Virginia, Annie
Jones and her husband, Joe Jones of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, Tressie Pace and her husband, Earl Pace of
Goochland, Virginia; two brothers, Calvin C. Claxton and his
wife, Jannie Claxton of Hyattsville, Maryland and Walter
Claxton and his wife, Gracie Claxton, of Baltimore,
Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at First Baptist Church 102 Meadow Avenue Louisa, Virginia 23093. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
